The Truro Benefice consists of the parishes of St. Paul, St. John and St. George, Truro and each is distinctive in its style of worship. St. George's is Traditional Anglo-Catholic under the episcopal care of the bishop of Ebbsfleet. St George's is always served by a male priest of the SSWH. St. John's is Traditional Anglican.  We are in the Anglican Diocese of Truro.

We have a Benefice Mission statement which drives our ministry and mission activities. Our key vision is to enable families to flourish and thrive, underpinned by compassion, faith, love and kindness. We want to grow the church for families in the local area and beyond.

Family Worship
& Study Group

In the benefice there are normally two opportunities for Family Worship - specifically for families with babies or small children who find traditional church difficult!

Holy Commotion normally meets fortnightly on Wednesdays at 6.30pm  at Archbishop Benson CEVA School in St. Paul's Parish but during the interregnum there will be NO Holy Commotion until further notice. The format is informal and designed for children with appropriate activities and songs.

Together in Worship meets at St. George's on the fourth Sunday of each month. We begin with breakfast in the church hall at 10.00am followed by half hour informal gathering in church from 10.30am. However, there will be NO Together in Worship services during the transition.

For more information see our dedicated website at:

Emmaus - "an encounter with God not just a brush with the church"

Our Emmaus group meets fortnightly gathering to explore in more depth aspects of the Christian faith. It is not a Bible study group but we do study the Bible. It is an opportunity to ask questions and explore the faith in a  safe environment.

We meet on alternate Wednesdays at 6.30pm in the Staff room at Archbishop Benson CEVA School at 6.30pm. See "Latest News" for dates.
